Kathleen & The Dreaded Opium is a collective name for the creative endeavours of Kathleen Opium AKA Heather-Jane Steeley.

 

I divide my time between freelance writing, blogging, designing and songwriting. This website is concerned with my designs for print and web applications. But I do get around a bit so before you scroll down to the design details, here are some quick links to other places you can find me:

My design portfolio can be viewed from the left sidebar. I have designed for a wide variety of mediums but the majority of my work so far has been for bands and music promoters.

 

I like to mix popular vintage styles with a more contemporary look.

 

 

I also offer freelance writing services. I have an MA in Creative Writing and over fourteen years of experience writing for national and regional newspapers and magazines plus website content and editorial for brochures and newsletters.
