This photo was taken in 1918 and shows the Arras Cathedral wrecked by Boche shell fire – belonging to The National Library of Scotland.

This iconic shot of three schoolgirls was taken in the Netherlands, 1959 and belongs to the Netherlands National Archives.

What I love about these old photos is that they are being preserved in digital form as well as distributed around the web. Inspiration comes from the product of other’s design. Alice Magazine will continue to dig out and share. It’s fun!
