If the world does indeed need any more female singer songwriters then we probably need some who actually rock, rather than those who just falter.

France de Griessen falls into the first category. Personally there is nothing wrong with a bit of pretty, acoustic finger-picking but I am more of a grungy, bluesy guitar girl and my tastes go accordingly.

France de Griessen looks like a classier Courtney Love and sings in a mix of french and english. Her music influenced by a variety of riot girl and rock artists. I like.

You can buy her ep “Six Uses For A Heart” via her website – www.francedegriessen.com and preview some songs, photos and videos over at www.myspace.com/francedegriessen
