Thomas Truax @ The Cumberland Arms Plus News

alicebulletI took myself down to The Cumberland Arms to see one of my favourite live acts last night – Thomas Truax.

Being the third time I have seen him play I just never tire of it. He’s been tagged with steampunk and the influence of this is obvious I guess but I prefer to refer to him as a musical scientist. www.thomastruax.com for more on this…oh and my mum booked him for a festival at Heron Corn Mill on Sat 11th April – go see!!!

You may have noticed my lack of posts over recent weeks. The answer is that I have been so busy with different projects and people that I have not had time to think. Plus my lines of communication (computer and phone) are both playing up.

I’ve just finished a new poster for Jeffrey Lewis & The Junkyard and one for Blue-John Benjamin. I’ve been working on some of my photos as well, close-ups mainly.

My house and home office were due a massive clear up and this has been my main focus over the past few days. I am selling off most of my things and stripping down to the essentials. Then I am painting all the furniture white and cream.

Because I am having RAM issues on my current machine I am also looking to upgrade which will cause a few delays with designs. Currently I have two pending design jobs and for those concerned – don’t worry they are my priorities, no machine hopping until cleared up.

I will be away for the first week of the easter holidays in Ulverston, The Lake District visiting family. Things will grind to a halt workwise so all emails and orders received between 6th and 13th April will be on hold.

That’s about it other than Happy Easter, stay tuned for more posts and don’t forget to check my store www.kathleenandthedreadedopium.com x x
